Addicted to a new exercise! It's ballet barre + yoga + pilates! :)

The studio set-up has 3 corners of the wall with ballet barres, which is essential in the work out together with yoga mats, yoga straps, dumbbells and fit balls. The cork flooring is both soft and sturdy, which protects the spine and joints during positions.

Some of my readers asked me if barre 3 can make you lose weight. YES! barre3’s aim is muscular conditioning, thereby toning muscles.  More toned muscles mean a more slender body.  What they actually promote is INCH LOSS more than weight loss.  (Needless to say, you may have lost a lot of weight but still be categorized as fat.)

Another asked me if it can burn fat. Of course! Barre3 develops muscular strength, muscular endurance and flexibility – 3 very important components of fitness.  It will greatly help make your body more efficient in burning fat.  It’s a great way to supplement your running, cycling and other aerobic activities.  Coupled with good nutrition, it will surely improve your fitness level, which leads to lower fat percentage.

If you haven't tried exercising/yoga/pilates/ballet before, don't worry! You can do this! This is the best exercise to try since you will be taught to find your ‘most correct posture’ before doing the movements.  But like trying anything for the first time, you’ll perform better if you have enough rest or sleep and are properly nourished.  And when in class, pay attention to your barre3 trainer and enjoy!
