Get Closer at Closeup Forever Summer 2015
Summer
has always been the season for letting loose and getting close. These days, one
of the best things about summer is a much-awaited day of youthful revelry by
one of the most-loved brands in the country: Closeup Forever Summer, a music
festival that’s all about being young, getting close, and staying fresh.
This
year, Closeup Forever Summer is getting bigger and better – with bigger
international acts, never-ending questions about people’s opinions on Facebook,
and a bigger venue for more people to get close.
Get
close from day to night
“We asked what the people
wanted and people were pretty much split on whether to have EDM acts or Indie
acts at Closeup Forever Summer,” said Apples Aberin, Unilever’s Head of PR.
“After seeing the results, Closeup has decided to take it to the next level, by
combining indie and EDM in one music festival."
For
an indie afternoon, Australian sibling-duo Angus & Julia Stone will
be performing a folk-pop acoustic set. Angus & Julia Stone’s song “Big Jet
Plane” lifted them to world consciousness, and won them Single of the Year at
the ARIA Music Awards. They have toured Laneway in Singapore and Australia
earlier this year and are set to perform in Coachella next month.
To
headline the EDM night, one of the best and youngest DJs in the world, Dutch
DJ/Producer Martin Garrix will take the stage. Ranked #4 in
the world by DJ Mag, Garrix is best known for his track “Animals,” which he
released when he was only 16 years old. He is currently set to release an
album, collaborating with industry big wigs like Usher, David Guetta, Tiƫsto
and Ed Sheeran.
Prepping
the EDM crowd for Garrix is the breathtaking DJ Eva Shaw, formerly
known as Bambi, resident DJ at Hakkasan who has performed in international
music festivals including Ultra Miami.
Completing the line-up are
sought-after local acts: Sinyma, Autotelic, DJ
Nix Damn P with Motherbass, and rising young artist BP Valenzuela.
