Wine without the drama

I've always wanted to appreciate wine. Since I don't drink hard drinks/beer anymore, I realized it's about time I transition to drinking wine (occasionally, ok! :P). But I always have a hard time because I'm very picky when it comes to taste. I don't like it too sweet, too bitter, too rough, too spicy.

Last week, my friends and I went to Planet Grapes Shangri-La to try out their wine selection and food. I was so happy to find out they have a wine vendo machine. So basically you buy a wine card (reloadable), then insert it in the card slot, choose your wine (sip, half glass, full glass). They also have description of the wine so you know what you're getting yourself into :P We tried almost everything cos the price range of the "sips" are from Php70-150 only :) My favorite from the white wine selection is Hugel 2012 (Riesling) and for the red wine, it's Folie A Deux 2010 (Zinfandel).

I also enjoyed their food (so much)! I can't even explain my love for their truffle chips. We got that for our starters plus chorizo. For our mains, we got steak, organic pork belly, and prawns with adobo rice, mashed potato and corn. Everything was perfect. I'm intensely craving for their food while writing this!!!! Haha. For dessert, I suggest you get the lava cake and the creme brulee trio (original, banana and durian). I can't wait to explore their menu!

I'm giving this resto 5 stars! Love the food, wine selection, service, and the interior design of the place (yes I'm also very particular with that) :P Oh! And their food/wine are all reasonably priced. What more can you ask for? :) Can't wait to go back!
